What paper do you print on?
A heavy, uncoated matte paper with a slight texture and no glare, so the type stays deep black and readable from any angle.
Which sizes can I choose?
30 x 40 cm and 50 x 70 cm. Both are standard European frame sizes, so you can walk into almost any shop and find a frame that fits.
Do prints come framed?
No. The frames in the photographs are there to show scale and mood. Prints ship unframed, which keeps them affordable and lets you choose a frame that suits your wall.
How much is shipping?
Free, worldwide, on every order.
How long does it take?
Production takes 1 to 3 working days. Delivery after that is usually 2 to 5 working days within Europe and 3 to 8 working days for the rest of the world. Busy periods can add a few days.
Where do you ship?
Worldwide. Because we print at the studio closest to your address, a print going to Sydney is made in Australia rather than flown from Amsterdam.
Will I pay import duties?
Inside the EU, no. Outside the EU your local customs authority may charge duties or taxes, which are not included in the price. Since most orders are printed locally, this rarely comes up.
How is my print packed?
Flat in a rigid board mailer, or rolled in a protective tube, depending on the size and the print location. You get a tracking link by email as soon as it leaves the studio.
What is the small 6 in the corner?
The signature. ROKU is Japanese for six, and the first letters of Robert Kuipers. Every print in the series carries it.
Can I return a print?
Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to tell us you want to return it, no reason needed, and another 14 days to send it back. Full details are in our Refund policy.
My print arrived damaged.
Email robert@rokufilms.com with your order number and a photo of the print and the packaging. We reprint and reship at no cost, or refund you, whichever you prefer. You do not have to send the damaged one back.
Can I order a custom size, or a custom sentence?
Sometimes. Email me what you have in mind.
Do you sell to hotels, offices and studios?
